Hearing Screening Privacy Notice

This supplemental notice explains how HearingAids.md processes information connected to its educational hearing screening and requested emailed results. It supplements our general Privacy Policy.
Information processed
When you use the educational hearing screening, HearingAids.md may process the following information:
- Age-range and gender selections.
- Answers to hearing-situation questions.
- Left-ear and right-ear tone responses.
- Speech-in-noise responses when that approved screening is available.
- The educational screening summary.
- First name, last name, and email address when you request emailed results.
- Submission and privacy-acceptance timestamps.
- Limited technical information required for security, validation, rate limiting, bot prevention, and duplicate-send protection.
How the information is used
We use this information only to:
- Generate and email your requested educational results.
- Send a separate internal result-delivery notification to HearingAids.md.
- Operate and secure the form, prevent abuse, troubleshoot delivery failures, and respond to visitor requests.
Storage and retention
Hearing-test submissions are not stored in the website’s application database. The server temporarily processes the information to deliver the requested emails.
Temporary rate-limit information expires after approximately 10 minutes. Temporary duplicate-send information expires after approximately 30 minutes.
The internal notification contains the submission date and a deletion deadline 30 days later. Microsoft 365 automatic deletion is not currently represented as active: the required mailbox-retention control must be configured and verified before publication. Once that control is active, HearingAids.md retains the internal notification email for no longer than 30 days.
Your copy of the result remains in your own email account and under your control. Information may be retained longer only when legally required or reasonably necessary to investigate security abuse or resolve a specific dispute.
No marketing
Requesting emailed results does not subscribe you to marketing communications. Screening information and results are not sold or used for targeted advertising.
Any future marketing choice must be separate, optional, and unchecked by default.
Service providers and your choices
Limited service providers may process information only to provide website hosting, security, form operation, and email delivery.
You may use the privacy contact method in our general Privacy Policy to request access to or deletion of information controlled by HearingAids.md.
Educational limitation
The hearing screening and any emailed result are educational only. They are not a diagnosis and do not replace an examination by a licensed hearing professional.
